|
Hello, Detail issue description in following link, with cscope, there is no such issue: My env is WSL, with cscope mark@wxy:/mnt/c/Windows/system32$ cscope -V The problem is, when do search "cs find t icsk_timeout" in vim for Linux kernel code(v 6.18), the keyword "icsk_timeout" was not showed in the item-4. Just want to know is there any improvement for such issue? Thanks, |

cscope maintainer here. From the cscope end of things, an important note would be that the "egrep" query ("find t" in vim) differs from the other types of queries in that it does not filter white space characters from the find in line-mode output. For this type of query, exact representation must have been seen as more important than conserving horizontal space on display. I. e. the TAB-based break-down of the output may not be applicable for this type of query the same way it is for the others. |
This one is Vim, not cscope. Vim keeps each cscope match as
tag<Tab>file<Tab>line;"<Tab>text, and when it prints the:cs findlist it reads the text withstrtok(NULL, "\t")(cs_print_tags_priv()insrc/if_cscope.c), which stops at the next tab. Line 2922 of tcp_ipv4.c istimer_expires<Tab>= icsk_timeout(icsk);, so onlytimer_expiresis shown. Selecting the entry still jumps to the right line, since that uses the line number. The code is the same in current Vim, so upgrading from 8.2 won't change it.The quickfix list keeps the whole line, so you can send
