Open source · MIT · Cypress today, Playwright soon

Visual regression that agrees with itself.

same same. to the pixel.

Cypress and Playwright write the same open manifest, so one bot or report reads both. A pinned renderer, so the screenshot from your laptop and the one from CI are the same bytes. When something does change you're told what moved and by how much, not handed a red blob. Then you approve the new baseline from the pull request and get on with your day.

What you can install today: the Cypress plugin and the manifest. The pinned renderer, the forensic diff and approval in the pull request are still being built.

npm i -D @pixsame/cypress-plugin-visual-regression-diff

Features

  1. Shared manifest

Cypress and Playwright write the same JSON file. A PR bot or review tool built against one runner works with the other, no adapter in between.

  2. Approve

Approve from the pull request or from the pixsame platform. It's the same baseline either way, so nobody re-reviews the same change in the other place.

Free where it matters. Paid where it scales.

Everything that runs on your machine or in your CI is MIT licensed and costs nothing. That part won't change. Team is for when you'd rather we run the renders and keep 30 days of baseline history for you. Enterprise is Team plus the AI auto-evaluator, SSO and a contract with an SLA in it.
