I first registered this account - my first - April 20, 2007. Since then, I've gotten involved pretty deeply in AfD work. I see it as a chance to triage articles that are flawed, but may yet have potential. If you need access to a Wikipedia article that has been deleted, ask me. If it's not a copyright violation, libel, or personal information, and has not been deleted as a suspected biographies of living persons violation, I will userfy the article for you.

Note that using the text to recreate any deleted article may automatically qualify them for speedy deletion, and copies of previously deleted content that are being used solely for long-term archival purposes may be subject to deletion because Wikipedia is not a free web host. We have a list of alternative sites which may be used to host your content. I maintain a sock account AVPW primarily for use on public networks. In the event of a compromised account, I specifically request any administrator to honor a request from AVPW to block this account, and absolve you in advance of any repercussions.

Reason: Request for temporary semi-protection of Pixxel

I am a disclosed representative of Pixxel and have opened a conflict-of-interest edit request on Talk concerning disputed descriptions of the company's nationality and corporate structure.

The article experienced multiple edits and reversions on October 30-31, 2026, involving its lead, legal-entity characterization, headquarters and corporate-structure statements.

Examples from the history include:

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pixxel&oldid=1383006295

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pixxel&oldid=1383022851

Complete history: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pixxel&action=history The issue concerns potentially misleading or insufficiently supported claims about a real company's identity and legal structure.

I request temporary semi-protection, if administrators find that the editing pattern meets the protection criteria, to prevent further disruption while uninvolved editors assess the sourcing and establish consensus.

This is not a request to enforce the company's preferred version of the article but protection against active vandalism by parties that have something to gain by mischaracterising Pixxel as an American company despite ample public proof of it being otherwise. Current requests for reduction in protection level

[edit]
Request removal of protection from a page, or reducing the current protection level

Reason: Protection is no longer necessary as despite the books popularity, the authors page is barely changed and is not known to many people, and does not suffer from persistent vandalism. Most people can access information about him through his own website, thus, why I'm voting to remove semi-protection. 55618sh (talk) 18:56, 31 October 2026 (UTC)

Once again, "the protection is working" is not a reason to remove protection. Also, Wikipedia is not a democracy, we don't vote on things. Sumanuil. (talk to me) 19:12, 31 October 2026 (UTC)

The Houthis are currently listed twice, both as "Yemen (Supreme Political Council)" and as one of the constituents of the "Axis Of Resistance." Either "Yemen (Supreme Political Council)" or "Houthis" under "Axis Of Resistance" should be removed (preferably the former since the SPC has remained unrecognized internationally).

An alternative would be for "Yemen (Supreme Political Council)" under "Axis Of Resistance" and for "Houthis" to be listed under "Yemen (Supreme Political Council)." ~2026-51187-32 (talk) 01:19, 30 October 2026 (UTC)

Congress has not even declared war. Nobody is at war. How can you even have an entire webpage using a term about an event that is totally inaccurate? Stop watering down terms and sensationalizing media terminology. Nobody is at war. It should be changed to conflict or something more suitable, but only Congress can declare war and that has never happened. ~2026-58034-72 (talk) 19:01, 31 October 2026 (UTC)

Autopatrolled

[edit]

I have been editing since May last year and have created more than 25 articles. Two of them are rated B‑class, and most of the others are C‑class or Start‑class. Two of my articles, Presley Gerber and Killing of Sonia Exelby, were nominated for deletion because of differing views on their notability, but both were kept. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ItsShandog (talk • contribs) 11:59, 22 October 2026 (UTC)

Hi @ItsShandog, could you explain how you created Brendan MegrawBrendan Megraw in Diff/1290863082? Why did you use the {{navbox}} template in Diff/1290872406 and how did you produce that in such a short amount of time? Why did you remove the {{ai-generated}} tag (added in Diff/1348062842), along with utm_source=chatgpt.com parameters, in Diff/1348070103 and then restore the original redirect in Diff/1379884757 a couple of months later? ‑‑gurkubondinn 14:59, 24 October 2026 (UTC)
That would have been around the time I was new to Wikipedia from what I can recall, and looking at it now, it was days after I joined when I would have used ChatGPT. That was before I knew much about AI or about Wikipedia. I stopped using it a long time ago, as I saw how unreliable it was even before the ban on Wikipedia. I cannot explain the navbox, as I have no idea what that is. I would assume it was something to do with ChatGPT at that time. In regard to restoring it to a redirect, that was more to do with the fact that I was editing the disappeared page that covers all those people, and the page more or less repeats the same thing. It does not have any more information than the disappeared page. It was not anything to do with my old edits, as I did not even notice the ChatGPT bit on it. I forgot about that edit, as it was over a year ago. If I had remembered, I would have gone back and fixed all of that, but it is better as a redirect anyway. ItsShandog (talk) 15:17, 24 October 2026 (UTC)
The reason for the removal of the AI part was that this was at the point when I did not use it anymore, but I had not fixed the page at that stage, so I should not have removed it. That was my own fault. There were so many pages I would have edited when I was new that I could not remember them all, but any I come across now I try to fix. I probably removed the ChatGPT part because I would have assumed that was what the template was referring to. That would have been me trying to fix the page, but to be honest I did not know the ins and outs of AI until recently, or all the different ways it is incorrect. Even back in April I just assumed a page was tagged with that because it had old links from ChatGPT and that type of thing. It is only when I have started to read the AI signs page on Wikipedia that I have learned about all the different things it does. If I had known that in April, I would have done a lot of copyediting and fixing of that page. ItsShandog (talk) 15:21, 24 October 2026 (UTC)

I've been fully editing Wikipedia since May of this year, and I've created almost 50 active articles. I have had a couple deleted in my early days and, in recent times, have had about one nominated for deletion, but it was kept without hassle. Thanks! ReelCosmix (talk) 05:32, 14 October 2026 (UTC)

I request a reassessment of my article-creation record and subsequent contributions. Thanks Biplab Anand (Talk) 01:42, 19 October 2026 (UTC)

No. However, the topic ban was less than a month before this application, and your behavior there makes me question your judgment regarding Wikipedia's core content policies regarding notability, reliable sourcing, and verifiability. Reviewer is, at the end of the day, a content userright. Additionally, this request sat open for two weeks without any other admin being willing to grant it, while other requests were being granted. I have been editing Wikipedia for a few years now. I do some of my work on articles related to WikiProject Schools. I believe rollback right might be helpful in reverting obvious vandalism. There is often a lot going on when it comes to schools. I am not particularly technically savvy and have done most of my editing by doing everything manually. It may take me a while to learn this tool, as it did take me forever to finally start using Twinkie. So I do hope that this tool might help me work more efficiently. 100k edits with eight years of experience in editing here. The reason for requesting rollback permissions is the need of cleaning up professional wrestling-related articles which I am constantly patrolling and keeping updated and away of spam or unsourced edits on a daily basis. JeyReydar97 (talk) 11:33, 15 October 2026 (UTC)

Not done I'm not seeing much experience with recent changes patrolling. If you're looking to clean up those articles your best bet is Twinkle (or just undoing) anyway; rollback is mostly useless for anything besides RCP. TonySt  01:52, 29 October 2026 (UTC)
I don't really agree with this decision. JeyReydar97 has 8 years of experience and more edits than either of us. Unless there's something I'm missing, he definitely understands when he can and cannot use rollback. Reaper Eternal (talk) 22:07, 30 October 2026 (UTC)

I would like to request rollback rights. I do a lot of recent changes patrolling, and I think the rollback function and the tools that require the right would prove very helpful to me while patrolling. A while ago, I requested the rights and then realized I did not have 200 mainspace edits, so I withdrew my request. However, I should now have over 200 edits in the mainspace, and would appreciate if I could be granted the right. Thanks! Bucket of Bubbles (talk) 23:44, 21 October 2026 (UTC)

I would be honored to be granted the powers of the legendary Rollback flag to further destroy the morale of the nefarious vandal empire in my exalted conquest. They shall no longer have any hope of escape once I lay my eyes upon them and their unexplained content removals. EditWarCriminal (talk) 17:59, 22 October 2026 (UTC)

EditWarCriminal, is this a serious request? Reaper Eternal (talk) 22:04, 30 October 2026 (UTC)

I am very active, and I use Twinkle but i feel as if getting rollback rights would give me access to more better tools and could help me make more reverts more fast, I have over 400+ edits, Anyways thanks for your time. Cheers, 208𝑦𝒆𝑎𝒉ℎ (talk) 03:36, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

Not done. I don't think you have quite enough experience just yet. Reaper Eternal (talk) 22:03, 30 October 2026 (UTC)

I have been patrolling recent changes for a while with RedWarn and I would like to get rollback permissions so I can use CVPI. T430s • [ Talk ] 13:55, 26 October 2026 (UTC) T430s • [ Talk ] 13:55, 26 October 2026 (UTC)

I have reverted vandalism, BLP violations and unsourced changes, as well as being a pending changes reviewer for over a month, so I think rollback will be very useful for me. 🦅White-tailed eagleTalk to the eagleStalking eagle 14:06, 27 October 2026 (UTC)

Hello! I'm GrinningIodize, and I would like to apply for the role of rollbacker. I have over 2000 edits on the English Wikipedia, and I enjoy hunting down vandalism and reverting it, so I'm hoping to get access to the new Special:AbuseReview tool. What would you all think about adding me as a rollbacker? GrinningIodize (you just lost the game) (talk) 17:56, 28 October 2026 (UTC)

Have more than 200 mainspace eidts, no recent history of edit warring, have consistently notified editors using Twinkle's warning feature. Given that I have had a RC patrol userbox since April, it should be clear that I have more than a month's experience of such. Beta Beta Beta - talk 00:44, 29 October 2026 (UTC)

Reason for requesting rollback rights I would like rollbacker to help out by using the AntiVandal tool, to help quickly revert bad faith changes. Bennett Li11 (Talk to Me) 01:56, 30 October 2026 (UTC)

@Bennett Li11: could you explain these recent reverts of yours? . Nikkimaria (talk) 02:32, 30 October 2026 (UTC)
@Nikkimaria,
Just wanted to get more involved in vandalism and stuff.
Cheers,
Bennett Li11 (Talk to Me) 02:52, 30 October 2026 (UTC)
Do you believe those are reverts of vandalism? Nikkimaria (talk) 02:53, 30 October 2026 (UTC)
@Nikkimaria,
No. These were recommended ‘check’ changes.
Cheers,
Bennett Li11 (Talk to Me) 04:58, 30 October 2026 (UTC)
Not done. A large number of your recent reverts are questionable. Please review WP:BITE and WP:NOTVAND. Reaper Eternal (talk) 22:17, 30 October 2026 (UTC)

I would like to have the rollback permission to speed up my recent changes patrolling with tools like Interceptor and AntiVandal. I've been patrolling for over two months now, I understand when rollback can and cannot be used, and I always leave an appropriate warning on the user's talk page after a revert. Thank you for considering my request! Kapicapybara (they/them) (talk) 00:08, 31 October 2026 (UTC)

Reason for requesting rollback rights I would like rollback rights to easily revert edits. Emmanbotan🌹 (talk) 05:00, 31 October 2026 (UTC)

I'd need to move articles from my userpage sandbox to main space. That leaves plenty of redirections waiting for sysop to delete. Rollback right may generally avoid such a situation. I have rollback right in zhwiki and had much more before I went through wiki-semi-retirements. Hope this helps your judgement. だ☆ぜ (Dasze) 20:28, 31 October 2026 (UTC)

Template editor

[edit]

Hello. I am requesting that my temporary TE rights be made permanent. As a TE, my edits have mostly consistented in non-controversial dark mode fixes/improvements and fulfilling edit requests. If I see a change that I think may be controversial, I try to bring it up on the talk page to discuss. While I have made some mistakes in the past by pressing publish too soon, I make sure to try and slow down and preview/test my changes. Axolitl (talk | contribs) 03:36, 30 October 2026 (UTC)

Not done for lack of demonstrated need; the mini-edit war at Template:Grand Slam-Triple Crown Champions is a little concerning as well. Primefac (talk) 10:35, 31 October 2026 (UTC)
Understood. I'll continue to improve then. However, regarding to that small edit contradiction, the template did not feature the link of the respective wrestler twice as the others claimed so I had to create a new subgroup to fix the problem and avoid alleged duplicates. Everything was solved in the end. JeyReydar97 (talk) 11:13, 31 October 2026 (UTC)
While I do recognise that everything got sorted, it took twice as many edits as necessary; you broke the template, someone pointed it out, and you basically told them to fix it (while re-breaking the template in the process). I wouldn't have failed your application because of this back-and-forth, but it is being mentioned as something to keep in mind going forward. Template editors make mistakes just like everyone else, but when that happens they're expected to correct the issue or revert until such time as the proposed change can be properly implemented.
