Defining an on_demand_feature_view fails if fields have descriptions #3617

Closed

Description

@nhurden

Expected Behavior

Being able to feast apply with an on-demand feature view with Fields where description is set.

Current Behavior

When a field has a description, the following error is thrown:

feast.errors.SpecifiedFeaturesNotPresentError: Explicitly specified features [total_impressions-Int64] not found in inferred list of features [total_impressions-Int64] for 'total_past_impressions'

Removing the description on the field avoids the error.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Define an on demand feature view with a field with a description set
  2. Define the transformation function with the correct type
  3. feast apply
