hexbitCTF/README.md

Hi there πŸ‘‹

I'm hexbit, an IT enthusiast, ethical hacker, full-stack web developer, and embedded systems builder.
I like to break things apart to understand them and put them back together cleaner, faster, and more secure.

πŸ› οΈ What I'm building

  • My Artix Linux rice with:
    • dwm (dynamic window manager)
    • dwmblocks (modular status bar)
    • dmenu (dynamic menu)
    • st (simple terminal with Sixel image preview support)
  • Custom configs for productivity, minimalism, and speed β€” already pushed here on GitHub.

βš™οΈ Development Environment

  • Neovim Configuration: Built a modern, blazing-fast setup from scratch using lazy.nvim.
    • LSP & Auto-completion: Native LSP setup targeting C/C++, Python, Bash, HTML, and CSS backed by mason.nvim and nvim-cmp.
    • Snippets: Fully integrated LuaSnip with tag auto-completion and automated boilerplate generation.
    • Navigation: Deep filesystem indexing using Telescope combined with lightning-fast project file-pinning via Harpoon.

🌐 Web & Desktop Development

  • Full-Stack Web: Designing efficient systems comfortable across both frontend & backend with a focus on security and performance.
  • Desktop & Enterprise (.NET): Experienced C# developer building custom .NET Framework systems, including full-scale, production-ready inventory management applications.

πŸ€– Embedded, Robotics & Hardware

I bridge the gap between software and physical hardware, designing everything from logic to physical chassis.

  • Microcontrollers: Advanced workflows with Arduino (Uno/Mega) and ESP8266 / ESP32 ecosystems.
  • Robotics: Designed and assembled a custom multi-MCU robot running dual Arduino Megas coordinating 4 DC motors and 1 stepper motor, utilizing custom CAD parts.
  • Python & Automation: Scripting hardware interfaces using pySerial, automating computer vision with OpenCV, and training custom computer vision models using the YOLOv11 object detection framework.
  • 3D Design & CAD: Proficient in Autodesk Fusion 360 for rapid prototyping and functional 3D-printed structural components.

πŸ”’ Security, Hacking & Hardware Exploitation

  • Network & RF Hacking: Leveraging ESP architectures to build physical offensive security tools, including custom Deauthers, Evil Twin spawners, and Beacon flood attackers.
  • Hardware Tinkering: Hands-on experience with soldering, custom peripheral integration (like mini OLED displays), and deploying custom code onto Wemos D1 Mini platforms.
  • CTFs & Red Teaming: Proud to be ranked among the Top 10 hackers in Lebanon πŸ‡±πŸ‡§ on TryHackMe (local leaderboard), sharpening my skills in automated exploitation and defensive controls.

πŸ“š Currently exploring

  • PCB Design: Learning KiCad to move from breadboards and protoboards to designing custom professional PCBs.
  • Advanced Linux internals and custom builds (Artix, ricing, low-level tweaks).
  • Integrating custom physical ethical hacking tools directly into my development environment.

🀝 Connect

  • πŸ’¬ Ask me about: Linux, Ethical Hacking, Embedded Systems/Robotics, Full-Stack & C#, CTFs.

GitHub Issues β€’ TryHackMe (same handle)

⚑ Fun fact: I prefer ALSA over PulseAudio/PipeWire on my Artix setup because I like simplicity and control.
