IfcCartesianPointList2/3D and STEPaggregate implementation for complex aggregates #388

Open

Description

@I-Sokolov

IfcCartesianPointList is LIST [1:?] OF LIST [dim:dim] and STEPcode actually implements it by GenericAggregate with unparsed nested list.

These classes are critical (intensively) used in IFC4 and upcoming scheme and MVD releases. I am thinking about better support.

Is there any activity in this direction?
I am on master branch and may miss something. Developer branch is not compiled with MSVC.

If nobody work on this issue maybe I can do something useful here.
At first look generic aggregate can be a list of STEPattribute.
Really I think it may be easier to use it for all types of aggregation rather then have typed lists like Int/Enum/...Aggregate etc. - we will need varianted code only for attributes, not for lists

    Hi Chris, any progress on this?

    BTW I have compilation error on develop branch.
    With last commit you removed ERROR_file_unwriteable from express.h but pretty_schema.c uses it.

    This is a reason I made some pull request to master (particularly a fix for VC generation). Maybe you can embed it to develop branch

    in fact the build of develop fails for other reasons too on Windows as well, I've been investigating this weekend. I've had no free time to work on this in the last several months.
