WinPython 2026-04 final (2026-10-27)

WinPython 2026-04 is the result of 2 month of works to prepare for Python-3.15.

Changes from WinPython 2026-03:

• Infrastructure:
  • SECURITY: python-3.15.2, python-3.14.10, python-3.13.8
  • SECURITY: pip-26.2.2, certifi-2026.10.23
  • SECURITY: wppm -sa / --audit gives users the everyday security bulletin on their current packages version
  • a just released version shall be wppm -sa alert-free
• Upgraded Packages:
  • polars-2.1.0, duckdb-2.0.0
  • numpy-2.5.3, numba-0.68.0, scikit-learn-1.9.1, scipy-1.18.1
  • jupyterlab-4.6.4, spyder-6.1.7, altair-6.3.0, matplotlib-3.11.2
  • all security alert fixed ... at the moment of build
• Removed Packages:
  • nltk: don't keep slow-on-security packages
• Differences among builds:
  • slimf (free-threading) are missing Qt
  • python-3.15 is only 90% complete: missing jupyterlab (because of pyyaml)
  • jupyter-ai only in 3.14 slim
